The women of the VFRW work to further the Republican cause in a variety of ways, from community service to education and literacy to candidate recruitment. Click on the appropriate tabs to learn more about what we do in each area and how you can participate.
Our program efforts can be broken down into five broad areas:
Education and Political - encompasses wide range of activities from preparing women for leadership roles to student scholarships to candidate recruitment.
Communications and Technology - designed to keeping women informed about what is going on locally, statewide, and nationally.
Community Service - encourages volunteerism, community involvement and education of Republican women in Virginia.
Scholarships and Awards - recognizes significant achievements by women nationally and in Virginia, as well as provides college scholarships for young women to attend college.
Other Programs - resources on various topics such as homeland security and women's health.
Virginia Beach Republican Women's Club member/Americanism Chairman, Dame Mary Barracco, was among those honored during the April 30, 2011, Honor Flight in Washington, D.C. The event is held to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices.
