Virginia Federation of Republican Women

The Caring for America program encourages volunteerism and private sector initiatives at the local, state and national levels. 

Since March 2003 the VFRW has been working with the USO of Hampton Roads (USO of HR) to support our troops and their families.  VFRW members have been faithful supporters for our efforts in the Caring for America project.  This committee thanks you for your support and encourages you keep giving what you can.

Please contact Anna Lee if you (or your club) send money directly to the USO of HR, or volunteer in any capacity so that your contribution can be counted on the Caring for America report of committee activities.

Find out more about the extraordinary work that is done by the USO of Hampton Roads at the AMC Terminal on Norfolk Naval Base.

Since March 2003 over $24,000 in monetary donations and about $20,000 in non-perishable donations have been made.  With the discounts that have been negotiated with companies at the corporate level $24,000 in monetary VFRW donations has the buying power equal to $72,000 worth of goods, making this the most effective and efficient way to donate to the USO of HR.

For their efforts and accomplishments in supporting our troops through the USO Hampton Roads (USO of HR) the VFRW Caring for American Committee project won the 1st place award at the NFRW Convention in Nashville in September 2005.

The sign has dark blue ink on a white corrugated plastic sign; cost is $10 each.  This is a fundraiser under the VFRW's Caring for America Committee and will help support the USO of Hampton Roads and the work they do supporting our troops.  Reserve your sign today by contacting Ginny Harrell at ginsig@visi.net or call (804) 642-9464. 

Special note regarding shipping:  if you need to have your sign mailed to you the wire holder will not be included.  The cost of the wire holder will instead pay for part of the shipping and handling thereby giving the USO a bigger donation.

Bumper stickers are now available with the same message for only $3 each.
